FIRST NIGERIAN FEMALE PPRO

Ngozi Conchita braide joined the Nigeria Police on the 15th of August 1996 as a Cadet Inspector, She was trained at the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano. She obtained a

Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from Lagos State University. Ngozi has attended different professional courses both within and outside Nigeria. She was one

time a student of (ATF Academy) Alcohol, tobacco & firearms Academy Atlanta, where she obtained a certificate in International Post-blast Investigation in May 2000. She

has also attended a course in Psychotraumaology, debriefing and diffusing course in Switzerland, 2001. Ngozi Braide also attended a prosecution course at the Nigeria

Police Detective College, Enugu in 1999. She has successfully participated in two United Nations Peace Keeping Operations. She was in UNMIK Kosovo in 2000 where

she worked in various crime investigation units and eventually headed the Domestic Violent Unit. Also in Liberia in 2006, she was appointed the head of Finance Unit of

the United Nations Police in Liberia. In Liberia she earned a commendation award for devotion to duty and hard work. Ngozi Braide has served with INTERPOL

(International Criminal Police Organization) between 1999 – 2003. In INTERPOL Ngozi Braide was attached to Organized Crime Division (OCD). She also worked at Force

Intelligence Bureau (FIB) 2003 – 2007 and Special Fraud Unit (SFU) 2007 till 2012. While with SFU, she was attached to Commercial Fraud Unit, but later rose to

become a Sectional Head of Oil & Gas Fraud Section. Before her appointment as the Lagos State PRO, she was on secondment with the Inspector General of Police

Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters. Ngozi Braide is coming as the first female PPRO in Lagos State and the 16th person to hold such office.
