I was about 12 years old then when I started playing with the other game.

It is an opportunity, I felt great and happy and I give glory to God who made it possible. I was really ecstatic when I was named and even now am still in the clouds.
Where do you want to see yourself in two years from now?
I know I have to work hard to achieve anything in the game. I am just coming up and the fact is that I have not even achieved anything of note in the game but I know with unrelenting hard-work, the heavens will be the limit. However, it is God that determines everything.
What's your plan for 2015?
When I get to that bridge, I will cross it.
How long have you been on this game?
I have been playing professionally for over four years now and still counting.
What influenced you into taking football as a career?
I realized it was the thing I loved doing most and something I do with so much passion. And with every passing day my resolve to become a football grew in leaps.

Initially they didn't support me, but somewhere along the line I had their full support.
What are your targets in the game for 2015?
Well I wish to play a top class football if possible beyond the shores of this country. Though I've not signed any contract yet, but I'm still searching. I want to work harder this year to do better than last year.
If u weren't into professional football, what career would you be into?
I would have been a lawyer.
What is it that you think football can bring into your life?
I want to make a name for myself and my family.
So far what has been your greatest moment on pitch?
There have been so many wonderful moments but none has been as wonderful as the day I broke the Nigerian league goal record.
Who do you perceive as being your biggest rival?
No one. I don't have any rival. It is a media conjecture that I have a rival. It is totally untrue.
Are u thinking of settling down soon?
That is something that will come naturally but at the moment what is uppermost in my mind is excelling in my career. I want to work very hard this year and become better at what I do.
Now that you are becoming a regular player in the national team training camp, is there anything that is special there?
I am happy and feel privileged to be given a chance by the national team handlers. I have learnt a lot from the few times I have been there and I hope I can get better with the opportunity. The national team is a congregation of some of the country's best players and one can only just learn a lot from these great talents.

It has been awesome working with a great, dedicated man, who has great passion for the nation and the players. He is an excellent man to work with.
Who are your role models?
Ronaldo and Messi are amazing players and Ike Uche I admire greatly.
What caught your fancy about Ike Uche?
I am a big fan of the way he plays. He has been a great player for this country and still doing exceptionally in the La Liga for Real Villareal.
How do you view age cheating in football?
It is if it ever existed is simply unnecessary as it hasn't in any way helped the game in the country. The country is replete with great talents that at various times can be discovered to get the national team soar to greater heights.
Do you support the expulsion of Emem Eduok from the Eagles' camp recently?
Well that decision is beyond me and whatever way I see it can't be heard. However, the truth is that we are going to miss him in the two friendly games. The lad is quite handful and a great player. He would have been a great asset to us in Abu Dhabi and personally I will miss greatly.
