If my father was still alive,I wouldn't play football—Abu Azeez




The Nigeria Beach Eagles star and  New Warri Wolves signee revealed how he will keep working hard till victory is achieved  the 20-year old forward who once played for Bridge FC , Abu Azeez has expressed his happiness with his recent club and plan for 2015
What is your target for 2015?              
My target is to play well, score more goals and help my team,become a better,loving,stars to my fans.                                                         
What kind of person are you?                 
Am a nice person, it depends on who am dealing with and situation at hand.             
What do you think about your club Warri Wolves?                                                  
Every footballer wants to play in Warri wolves,we are playing the CAF cup and league and with the team we have,am highly optimistic we are doing well and). It is a great move for me and I’m very happy because the environment is very conducive to play football, I count it as a great honour and privilege to move to wolves.          
What club did you started with?                  
I started with Owibeseb FC Ojo,Lagos,but professionally i started playing  in 2009 with Julius Berger football in Lagos .                           
What influenced you into football?         
My friends influenced me into football,my environment also played a big role because almost everybody in my area can play well,so there was always competition to prove whom was better. 
When was your most memorable time on pitch?                                                       My most memorable moment was when I played for the Beachsoccer National Team, against Brazil in 2011 and scored 5goals in the final.                                                     When was your worst moment on pitch?
 My worst moment was when I had problems with my visa when I was to go for trials abroad.                                      
Are you ready for this next and what should your fans expect?                          I am ready for the season because, I know there are good players coming in so I have to fight well for my jersey, improve my game, and learn more.    
Two years time, where will you be?             
I want see myself playing abroad in next two years,                                                 
What do you think about Warri Wolves?    
What I think about my team,we have a good formidable team, some young players mixed with matured players ready to work.                                         
Who are your Mentor?                              
My mentor is Thierry Henry.                     
What was your parents reaction,when you decided to play football?                    
 parents reactions?
My father does not want me to play football,he died in 2005  and that the opportunity I had to join a team,I was too stubborn for my mother to handle.                                               
What did you learn from your beachsoccer team?                                     
 I learnt from national team,its a very lovely place to be,I learnt to be more hardworking, prayerful,humble and focused a great honour for me playing alongside some of the big names in the Nigerian league which will go a long way in helping my football career.                                                     
Who are your greatest football Rivals?
I will say,should be Chinedu Udoji of Enyimba or Monday Osagie of Warri Wolves,they are tough guys in the League.                                                      
If am not playing football,i would  be into entertainment?
I will be into Music industry,because I love music very well,          
When will you settle down?              
 I don't know for now, until I get what I want.                                                        
 Who is your best coach that impact in your career?
I will give it to my grassroots Coach Yusuf Durosinmi Irewe,he tried,       
Any idea you will become a Star?         
yeah,I knew I was gonna become a star,because I saw my mates becoming stars. so I had that challenge.                                                           
Who are your Movie star?                          
 I will give to the Ghana actor,Majid Michael.                                                   
How do you relax?                                       
I listen to Nigeria songs a lot,surf the net a lot to get ideas,and chill pool side.         
What is your best food?                             
My best food is bread and beans, I drink alot water.                                              
What State are you from?                       
I was born and grew up in Lagos State,both parents from this state.
How long have you been with Warri Wolves?                                                         
 I have been with the team for six months now.                                                          
 How has it been since you join your new club?                                                          
My family has been of great support since I joined Warri Wolves.                                                            Did you miss your former club?              
 My teammate and Bro Oke, ogaga,Ibenegbu mosquito, teamates too in Ilorin and Lagos.                                      
What are your challenges as a footballer?                
It has not been easy coping though,because initially people  thinks footballers are irresponsible guys,lazy people,all sort,then when football starts bringing money,so much is expected from you as a player from your coach,your fans,your family and yourself. 
What you think can be change in our Nigeria League?                                    
That is no other than the officiating,then issue of finances in teams,Warri Wolves is  really trying,but we can do more.            
What do you think about asisat Oshoala winning the African Women player Glo Caf award?                                              
I know Asissat deserve the award,given to her,she has worked hard, know she will win more,if she continue to stay focus and hard working.                                                         
 If your father was still alive, you wouldn't be into football?                                             
Yes,I will not be playing football,because he wanted me to go to school.                     
What was your late father profession?     
My father was a Custom officer at Badagry office.                                           
 Do you feel happy now that you are a Star,after he left?                                     
 I missed my father for real,I  would have been so good, if he was alive to see me become a star.                                                      
How did your mother manage your desire for football,after last father?
She got no choice,than to support with everything ever since,she has been my backbone.                                                
Do you hunger to play for Super Eagles this season?                                               
Sure,that is every league players dream,to play for Nigeria,that is why am playing and working hard to get there.I just can't wait for play for the National team.                                                           

How do you do the magic of scoring so much goal in short a time,some of your teammate think, you are using juju, how true is that?                                                  
That's just funny,I only play my game,and God helps me,I don't use juju or anything to play my game.                          
What do you think about players who think you use juju?
I don't know if any player do that and that happen.                                  
Do u have hater in football?                   
No,i don't have haters,Just admirers who are scared to take the risk I took to be who i am today.                                         
Who is your best teammates?            
My best friend in warri wolves is Ikechukwu Ibenegbu.
