Dr. Christian Emeruwa hails from Abia State and holds a Ph.D Degree in Administration and Organization of Sports from the University Ibadan, Ibadan Oyo State.
Dr Christian Emeruwa is an expert in sport economy and policy Development. His current research and work interest is in the areas of Sport Safety and Security as well as Sport Integrity
He is a member of various professional sport bodies in Nigeria and abroad. A member of the pioneer class as well as the first African to be a Certified Sport Safety and Security Professional from SRH Heidelberg University Germany in a Course facilitated by the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) Doha, Qatar.
Dr. Christian Emeruwa holds a Certificate in New Managers Programme from University of Witwatersrand , South Africa. A Fellow of the Institute of Sports Management Australia
He is also a regular columnist of Sporting Life magazine
Dr Christian Emeruwa is a FIFA Senior Security Officer and has assisted FIFA as a member of the FIFA Delegation to the FIFA U-20 Men's World Cup New Zealand 2015 as well as represented FIFA as a FIFA Security Officer in Selected 2018 World Cup Qualifier Matches in Asia Region. His last assignment with FIFA was as a FIFA Senior Security Officer to the FIFA U-20Women World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 where he acted as both a Senior FIFA Security Officer and a Trainer to a FIFA Junior Security Officer. He has presented various papers at seminars and conferences within and outside Nigeria.
He is also an Author to many books the most recent being Hand Book for Match Commissioners and Referee Assessors. He is a staff of the Nigeria Football Federation and currently the National Integrity Officer for Nigeria.
He has served three General Secretary's of the NFF first as PA to Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba, SA to Musa Amadu, Esq and SA to Current GS Dr Sanusi Mohammed He is happily married to Mrs Jummai and they are both blessed with Alexander, Atarah and Andrew
