In an unprecedented match arrangement that involved two sets of teams, SKE FC of Port Harcourt drew and won matches against opponents Port Harcourt City FC in a pre-season friendly duel.

Both set of teams were divided into two groups to ensure that the epic encounter took center stage at the training pitch of the Yakubu Gowon Stadium Port Harcourt.

The first game of the day was cagey as both sides were been cautious of conceding in the game. Striker Abakarderoma Tamuokoro who led the attack for SKE FC had his attempt been saved by the goal keeper in the 5th minute.

Right back Samuel Monday interception in the 14th minute was pivotal to deny the visitors a good scoring opportunity.

The game was marred by reckless tackles by the visitors which earned them four yellow cards in the first half.

Upon resumption of the second half, mercurial winger Kimi Jeremiah was able to test the goalie of Port Harcourt City FC from the flanks with a low driven shot in the 57th minute.

It was an entertaining first 15 minutes of the game as Port Harcourt's finest side, SKE FC thrilled the viewers with their sparkling pattern of play.

Douglas Bueka scored the opener in the 20th minute off a delightful corner kick by Chibuike Ibekwe.

The host were ruthless against their opponents as the dictate proceedings in the middle of the park.

An incredible goal was scored by midfielder Chibuike Ibekwe who poked home off a thumping volley from 25 yards to double the lead for his side.

SKE FC dominance in the game paved way for yet another goal when attacking midfielder, Christopher Omiri strucked a stunning free kick from the edge of the box to decimate the visitors.

Port Harcourt City FC were able to get a consolation before the blast of the final whistle as SKE FC exhibit their prowess against their opponents in the pre-season friendly tie.

SKE FC will be plying their trade in the Nigeria Nation-Wide Division Two League. The will engage Cynosure FC in another historic double header tomorrow at the training pitch of the Yakubu Gowon  Stadium at 7am.
