Bbnaija,a moral decadence

BBNaija, A Moral Decadence

Big brother Naija is a house of vice fraternity, it encourages  immorality, it is satanic and should be removed from the list of cable network channels.
Save the crap! (Those lines certainly ain't mine)

Call me a conservative or model me a  reformist, it would make little or no difference to my opinion.
The moral decay we cry about is not in BBNaija house or channels , it  lives in and within us: - our homes, offices, markets, and disappointingly in our religious houses(churches and mosques alike).
Frankly speaking, I never liked channel 198 the first time I tuned in on  my decoder.
Apparently, I allowed my decision initially,  to be influenced by the bad pictures painted of it especially by some religion fanatics and critics.
Forgive me for being adventurous (Inspite of my apology, it is a trait I do not regret acquiring) - I refused letting go off the channel  despite my initial dislike.

Over time, I  realised I was becoming passionate about BBNaija.
Not necessarily because  the camera man shows me telecast  of snoring housemates, revealing boobs and butt of sexy housemates in hot shower or two housemates in bed kissing passionately under a duvet  and having sexual intercourse like rug rats, but because  I discovered BBNaija is not all about depiction of immorality.
Besides, if you and I could spare megabytes out of our data bundles to download clips of American Idol from YouTube because we enjoy the talent show, why then are we sceptical about the BBNaija housemates' talents and indifferent in promoting the social heritage.
Perhaps, the reason is because the former is foreign and the later is local.
It's high time we searched our conscience!

There's much to BBNaija than the immorality some of us see.
Be warned: BIG Brother Naija is rated 18+ so I  expected us  to see the programme and criticise it not as infants but as full fledged adults.
Trust me, I am not attempting to play the 😈 devil's advocate here.
Having followed the trend of events on BBNaija, I realised it has its bad side. Yet, I refused to shut my eyes to the good side.
You may argue it teaches evil and  I would argue it taught me good at the same time.
Isn't that what life is full of?.
If you learned for instance, that one Mr. K fondled one Miss Bosslady's breasts and inserted his finger into the wrong place, what the fuss about not wanting to learn to be disciplined?

BBNaija may be a  clear depiction of drunkeness, distractions, laziness,  selfishness, deceit , and promotion of obscenity cum promiscuity. Yet I discovered  courage , perseverance, forgiveness, team spirit, determination,  selflessness and many more amongst some of the housemates.
The characters are different people drawn from different environments either  living or faking their lives.
The bottom line remains, aside the fact that BBN was entertaining, there was certainly so much advantageous or excellent qualities  to be learned.

"Based on logistics", I really don't regret subscribing to it.
Critics, use your remote wisely - "based on logistics".
