A Nigeria Referee, Ferdinand Udoh confirmed to National Daily he is among the selected 14 whistle men to take charge of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Total Africa Cup of Nations U-17 championship will be observed.
The CAF has invited Udoh and 11 other referees and 14 Assistant Referees from other African countries scheduled for the competition expected to hold in Gabon 14th- 28th May, 2017.
National Daily gathered that oUdoh of the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council and one of the flagship of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA at the FIFA level is the third named among the list of international referees invited across Africa.
Elated by the development, the NRA President considered the upsurge in FIFA and CAF recognition of Nigeria's international referees as an outcome of strategic planning the referees' body has been doing with the Federation and the NFF Referees Committee, to reposition the fortune of Nigerian referees at all levels.
The NRA wishes Udoh well and a successful tournament ahead
