Chaunchun Yatai of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has declared himself t to play for the Super Eagles in the second leg of their back-to-back World Cup qualifiers away to Cameroon on Monday, despite bowing out of the first clash in Uyo on Friday due to injury.
Ighalo, though, admitted that he signaled to the bench to be substituted in the 60th minute of the match, in which he scored Nigeria’s first goal, as he admitted having picked up a minor hamstring injury but is confident he will be available for selection against the Indomitable Lions in two days time.
“I was feeling tight on my hamstring, that’s why I didn’t want to force it. We were winning 3-0 then. I am okay and will be ready for our next game,” said Ighalo, who showed strength and composure to wriggle free of a Cameroonian defender before opening the scoring for the Eagles in the 29th minute.
