Oil Tycoon FC Ifeanyiubah threaten to boycott final game over no pay



The Nigeria Professional Football League club Ifeanyi ubah Football club players  have resolved to stay away from their final game of the NPFL season at home against Lobi Stars as they have not been paid for the past four months.

This boycott threat comes a day after ‘The Anambra Warriors’ were fined and several of the players and officials were handed lengthy bans for their improper conduct during a Week 36 game at Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja.

One of the badly affected players told National Daily that “We are working, but no pay to show for it,we beg,we don’t have cash to send to our families because we have not been paid for at least four months now.

One of the injuired player told National Daily that “I can no longer foot my bills as the bread winner of my family.

One of the players told National Daily that they are been owned four months salaries in the 5th month now and there is no sign of getting any thing ,it's happens last two season even last season and it's about to happen again.

And the league is ending tomorrow.

“As a team we have met and resolved not to play our last league match until we are paid all our salaries.”

National Daily gathered that the club owned by oil tycoon Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah are yet to fulfill a 10 million Naira agreement with a particular agent after they signed a star striker.

It was alleged that only two million Naira has so far been paid the agent.

Officials of FC Ifeanyiubah have so far refused to comment on the situation
