George Opong Weah built his destiny to become Liberia president. His goal in life from a poor background was always to contribute to the success of his country by serving them.
As a secondary School student way back in 1987 George Weah was already playing for the Liberia national team with little or no financial reword.
This was the time I met him in person when he was in Lagos to play against the then Green Eagles with his national team which they lost 1-4. George Weah became a national Hero when he was sponsoring the Liberia national team for many years single handedly after they came out of civil war.
Today the people of Liberia have repaid him for his patriotism and loyalty with their votes. George Weah is officially declared the new president of Liberia to replace Sirleaf Johnson whom he contested with and lost in 2005. Weah was teased not to have enough academics education as the reason he lost in 2005, the reason he went back to school to acquire all academics relevance even though he is a serving Senator.
It's how you really lay your bed you lie on it. Weah has worked his way with determination and hard work from the bottom to the top.
