Veteran journalist and columnist, Dan Agbese commends Benue Journalists Forum

Foremost Nigerian veteran journalist, columnist and author,  Dan Ochima Agbese has commended the Benue Journalists Forum of Nigeria (BJFN), for its great vision.
The doyen of journalism stated this last week when he received a delegation of the group led by its National President, Joseph Saater Undu at his office in Lagos.
Agbese, who expressed happiness over the visit, said he was however not aware that such a group was in existence.
This was as he promised to do everything possible to make sure that the group achieve its laudable vision to reposition Benue state for greatness.
According to him, "This is another opportunity for me to demonstrate my love and commitment to the development of the state since the 1980s when I was privileged to serve under Governor  Aper Aku."
Responding, the leader of the delegation, Undu thanked Agbese who he described as the pride of Benue journalists for warmly receiving them in his office despite the short notice.
Undu said the essence of the visit was to familiarise themselves with their role model and to also introduce the group's vision to him.
According to him, "We are here to introduce the vision of BJFN to you as our father in journalism and to also seek your consent to allow us build this great vision on your giant shoulders.
"We want to thank you immensely for accepting us as your children and for your willingness to help us achieve this great vision for the greater benefit of our dear State."
Agbese, who is an indigene of Benue state  was the co-founder of Newswatch Magazine alongside Dele Giwa, Ray Ekpo and Yakubu Muhammed.
He was appointed as the General Manager, Radio Benue in 1980 and was  later appointed as the Special Advisor and Director of Information to the former Governor of Benue state, Aper Agu. It was under his regime that FM was added to Radio Benue.
