MOTIVATED BY HUNGER AND ANGER;  ADEPOJU TOBI SAMUEL VOMITS HIS HEART IN THIS THOUGHT PROVOKING PIECE

It all started in 2010 after school, it was difficult getting a job but the spirit led me to make something out of my passion.

Before 2010, I had followed football since 1996, I was in love with domestic football when I saw my first 3SC game in 1999 during a visit to my late grand parents.

Honestly, it started on Facebook. I had this mindset to engage myself with domestic football, we had few colleagues doing this on social media, TV, Radio and the print media. All attention was on the European leagues.

It was tough and rough at the start.  They insulted me, they said we are jobless. Who go follow NPFL & Nigerian football? I was scared, I felt like quitting but my parents were my angels. I got a lot of motivation from them.

Not long,  we were able to make it a brand, we were able to use Nigerian football to feed ourselves. Progress every year and doors for opportunities opened for everyone involved in the struggle.

My greatest joy was how we increased in number.  Lots of bloggers around now. Great colleagues on radio and TV doing amazing stuff with NPFL & Nigerian football.

Everything is not money in life, impacting younger generation to believe that Nigerian football can be a platform to reduce unemployment among the Youths gives me joy.

Don't wait for government, don't wait for that big job while you stay at home & add more burden on your parents. Discover your hidden talents and passion, start small. Don't be scared, don't look at the sacrifices. Believe you can succeed on it, if you are successful that platform will engage more Youths without jobs.

Those early years, I trekked for TV and radio shows. Una understand the word 'sole'? It means Cheap buses. Yeah we used that to travel for league games. Lol.

I don't have millions yet, I still jump on Bike & Keke. Smiles! But I'm happy today, I have a job. A job that was neglected, A job we got abused & talked down by haters.

The name 'Adepoju Tobi' started from ground zero, but toda, it rings a bell across Nigeria & few African countries.

I wish the spirit can lead me to write everyday like this, it's important we inspire ourselves on social media. If I can't give you money, I won't wish you fall from your little effort.
