DIKKO BACK TO WHATSAPP AS NPFL RETURNS

The man I pity most anytime the NPFL starts is Mallam Shehu Dikko.  He is back to whatsapp. In fact he is seated up there awaiting the unexpected.  The pressure has suddenly returned,  fear of the unknown is back to haunt his feeble heart and the time to pray and fast for him, is now!

He is so passionate about this his baby,  he nurtures him and cuddles  him daily,  he cannot let him fall and break so he is willing,  yes always willing to listen to advice on how to make the baby a future leader.

On this day last season,  the first match was between. Kano Pillars and FC ifeanyi Ubah and Folusho Ajayi threw decorium to the wind as hell was let lose.  Dikko was present,  he stood perplexed.

As the sweat came down his cheek,  the tears followed.  First day,  first trouble for Following and the NPFL.

He has a special ointment for his neck belaboured by endless whatsapp vigil,  he is always on NSM and the fear of what comes next leaves him guessing.

From a die hard Manchester United fan to a devoted local league  apostle.  He has left all his massive businesses that fetch him money even in hard currencies to dedicate his time, energy, passion and emotions to the local league.

He dreams of a better tomorrow for the beautiful game,  we can only wish that this season will give him more smiles than tears..

Welcome to NPFL 2017/2018 season, Dikko 's sleep has been cut short again because he must stay up to watch,  read and listen.  That is the price you pay as a true leader.
