NURUDEEN MURDERED IN COOL BLOOD

July 5,2009 ,will always be a horrible day for the me,Mr Saliatu Akinlabi of No 4 Aina Obembe street Iyanapaja ,Mr Akinlabi could not hold back his griet during the court sitting over the murder of his son.
What an ordeal
During the sitting of the federal high court of Ikeja,the father of Nurudeen Akinlabi (deceased)appeared in court as a witness.Akinlola explained during the sitting that on the day,while he was fast asleep around the evening period of 10.00 p.m he heard heavy knocks on his door and he fearfully went to open the door the door only for him to meet policemen at his door step .Thepolicemen asked him that if he could recognize his son if he saw him and he said yes.He was then asked to come with them outside where a car was parked on he obliged.
He said it was a awful signt,he was unable to to believe what what he saw in the car when the door of the car was opened,he saw his son Nurudeen bleedingfrom the head and sitting helplessly,he quckly asked the police what they did to his son but quickly advicsed that his son should be taken to the nearest hospital.He was then taken to Prestige hospital also in Ipaja.
While administration treatment was still on his son,national daily gathered that Nurudeen made a declaration saying”I never offened you and this is the second time you are stabbing me but when I am back on my feet,I will revenge’’His father ,further explained that he shut his down by saying ,why didn’t you come home immediately you were attacked?
The father also told the court that the doctor and mother of Nurudeen were witnesses to this declaration.Our reporter gathered that he was brought to his father’s compound with several cuts on his head but while receving treatment in the hospital ,he also had matchet cut on his arm.
Hoping for son’s survival ,on the next morning his father headed to the hospital to check the welfare of his son and saw that he was still placed on drip not knowing that his poor son had given up.he therefore went to police station as he as being requested earlier to come for a police report ,information available that while making this statement,Akinlola did not know the essence of the police report,he was asked to come for.
According to the father of the deceased,he told the court that when he got into police station,I saw community elders,chair man of Ipaja Ayobo local government and the district police office <DPO>and before I was told anything ,I fainted and until I came back that I knew what has drawned on me ,my son was gone ‘’I took my fate and went home.
After all has happened,police from Panti police station were requesting to see me but I declined until I was arrested ,national daily gathered was following the arrest of Mr Saliatu he was asked what he knew about his son’s death but replied that they should ask the police who brought my son home that might ,eventually made a statement but he said  but he said he  knew Mr Ademola Sobawole who was present in court and had a charge against the state concerning the murder of Nurudeen ,desponse of Mr saliatu was a no.
A dear son he was confirmed by national daily was that there was a cordial relationship between father and son .father  cherished son so much and they had wonderful relationship while he was alive.
However,the case has been adjourned by the chief judge Justice Habib Abiru till 10th May,2011 as a result of the absence of another witness.
