The Lagos Command has recorded yet another success in the area of pruning down the crime rate in the Lagos State.
On 15th may,2011 about 0700 hrs the police at Oke-Odo received a bit of information that some hoodlums were hiding at NO.11 Calvary Street, Off Ekoro Road,Abule Egba.
The Police swung into action and went to the scene of the crime while 2 of the hoodlums namely Emmanuel Andrew ‘M’ aged 27 years ,a native of Ikot Akpayamon in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State who turned out to be kidnappers were promptly arrested and confessed to the crime. One Emmanuel Sackery ‘M’ of NO 25A, Awori Road Dolphin Estate who was kidnapped since 13th May, 2011 was rescued alive.
Police later searched the houses and premises of the suspects and two locally made pistols with 12 rounds ww.38mm live ammunition were recovered while the gang leader one Benjamin Odudu ‘M’ from his hideout along Ekoro Road Abule- Egba.
The remaining two suspects are still being sought.Meanwhile,one Hillary Nnwakuale ‘M’ that was also mentioned by the victim was later arrested today about 1000Hrs in a hideout at Ekoro area of Oke-odo investigation is still in progress According to the PRO of Lagos Command.
The command is advising parents to warn their children and wards to desist from perpetrating evil acts or else the wrath of the law will catch up with them.
