ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPERS/ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF ARM AND AMMUNITION: - On 6/3/2015 at about 2330hrs, Policemen attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja arrested five suspected kidnappers namely Edet Ekuno ‘m’ aged 32yrs (Gang Leader), Chukwudi Dickson ‘m’ aged 40yrs old, Sunday Shamiga ‘m’ aged 24yrs, Hope Edet Okon ‘m’ aged 27yrs old and Isaiah Unuabon ‘m’ aged 31yrs. The suspects were arrested in a Hotel at Berger area of Ojodu for attempting to kidnap a yet to be identified victim. Suspects confessed to series of robberies/kidnapping in Lagos and Akwa Ibom States. Two locally made pistol and eighteen live cartridges were recovered from the hoodlums. The case is under investigation at Special Anti-Robbery Squad Ikeja. 

 

2.    ARREST OF SUSPECTED ROBBERS:- On 9/3/2015 at about 0900hrs, Policemen attached to Gowon Estate Division acted on information and arrested three hoodlums namely: Matthew Soeze ‘m’, Johnson Olaide ‘m’ and Prosper Obi ‘m’ all of unknown address for allegedly barricading the access road to Gowon Estate and robbing passersby. Items recovered from the suspects are one Iron made up of nails and cutlasses. The case is under investigation at Gowon Estate Division.

 

3.    ARREST OF CULTISTS AND RECOVERY OF ARM AND AMMUNITION: - Today 11/3/2015 at about 1200hrs, Police Surveillance Team attached to Isolo Division intercepted a black Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep with Reg. No. AKD 406 BR with 8 male occupants along Chemist Bus Stop Isolo. After searching the vehicle the following items were recovered from the gang leader one Samson Ogunmokan ‘m’ of No.14, Salako Street, Ilasamaja Lagos. One locally made pistol with2 live cartridges, assorted charms, 10 GSM handsets, one Horse whip and cash sum of #31,000.00. The case is under investigation at Isolo Division.
