It was heal for an officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) as he got the worst beating. of his life from irate tricycle rider at Ikeja on Friday.
A witness said that the fight ensued when a LASTMA van allegedly hit a tricycle because he tried to evade arrest.
It was gathered that the LASTMA officer started what he couldn't finish when he started to beat the tricycle operators immediately he fell but was shocked when the table turned around and he was mercilessly beaten beyond comprehension.
To the amazement of LASTMA official, he was outnumbered by the furious commercial tricycles riders and gave the worst beaten of his life.
It was further gathered that because of the way the tricycle rider was hit by the LASTMA, and considering that they have been subjected to lots of extortion, the enraged riders vented their anger on the unnamed traffic official and treated him like "chicken in chicken republic."
