*Danladi Isah (Kano Pillars):* The Kano Pillars shot stopper must be at his best to halt El Kanemi Warriors as they look to record their 22nd consecutive home win since their return to Maiduguri last April. His sharp reflexes and alertness will be vital if Sai Masu Gida are to leave the El Kanemi Stadium with at least a draw.
*Mustapha Ibrahim (Wikki Tourists):* The Wikki Tourists skipper and his partners in defence were very effective for the Giant Elephant last season, but the reverse is the case this term, with 14 goals already conceded from 15 games. Ibrahim must rally his teammates if they are to leave Jos without a defeat against Plateau United on Sunday.
*Ifeanyi Ifeanyi (Akwa United):* Ifeanyi holds the ace for the Promise Keepers in Sunday's league tie against Shooting Stars in Uyo. Akwa United will be desperate to return to winning ways after their 2-1 capitulation in Makurdi against Lobi Stars in midweek, and the pass accuracy and dribbling skills of the former schoolboy international will be important to claim the three points at stake.
*Mfon Udoh (Enyimba):* Udoh is a transformed individual after last season’s flop in the domestic campaign, and he has proved that with seven goals for the People’s Elephant this season. Next up for the Enyimba skipper are Enugu Rangers, who travel to Aba in Sunday's showdown. He must also be able to calm his teammates down in order to avoid the kind of needless bookings that have affected the club in recent fixtures.
*Stephen Odey (MFM):* Odey will be the marked man in the MFM team when they face Nasarawa United in Lafia on Sunday. He has scored 13 goals and also created assists for his teammates so far this term, to establish himself as one of the NPFL's outstanding stars. All eyes will be on him to reproduce the form that has made him so prolific in his second season in the top flight. He must continue scoring and helping the Olukoya Boys win games if they are to remain atop of the league at the end of the weekend’s fixtures.
