National Assosciation of Nigerian Professional Footballers, NANPF, in conjuction with Stephen Keshi Football and Vocational Training Centre (SKFVTC) have put in place a ceremonial football match to mark the second anniversary in remembrance of former Super Eagles coach, late Stephen Keshi.
The ceremonial football game will involve ex New Nigerian Bank players against a selected team of ex footballers nationwide on Sunday 3rd June 2018 at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium Benin city, Edo State.
On Tuesday 5th June 2018 Stephen Keshi memorial lecture will hold in Asaba. Two days later, maiden national U-17 Stephen Keshi Football tournament kicks off at the mainbowl of Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
In a related development, the player union has equally organised inaugural Rashidi Yekinni memorial lecture and presentation of trophy of maiden Rashidi Yekinni U-19 football competition in Ibadan which kicks off on 20th July and ends 22nd same month.
The champions from Stephen Keshi national U-17 football competition and Rashidi Yekinni U-19 tournament which is sponsored by Football Intermediaries Association of Nigeria (FIAN) will qualify to participate in football academy tournament in South Africa organised by Gerom Media Sports and Entertainment Ltd.
