Solomon Thompson's Hat-trick Sink FC Grassroot

Solomon Thompson's man of the match performance ensured that Port Harcourt's enterprising side, SKE FC pipped FC Grassroot 3-1 in a pre-season friendly duel. 

Coach John Nyamali led tutored side returned to winning ways following their dismal performance in their last game to ensure that they dismantled their opponents in a scintilating contest.

The visitors were on the ascendancy in the opening ten minutes of the game as the host were pegged in their own half. Their early dominance didn't yield any clear cut opportunity.

A rasping run by Junior Thomas found Solomon Thompson off an inch-perfect pass as the lanky striker slammed home for the opener for SKE FC in the 40th minute.

The host went into the half time break courtesy of Solomon Thompson's solitary strike. Upon resumption, the host upped their game which paved way for another goal.

Solomon Thompson scored his brace in the 50th minute following a perfect through ball by Kingsley Nwokoro as he latched the ball into the back of the net.

FC Grassroot reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute via a well taken header.

The annihilation was completed in the 62nd minute by Solomon Thompson who bagged his hat-trick to finish the game in an emphatically fashion.
