TWO FAKE DOLLARS THIEVES CAUGHT BY OKADA RIDERS

At around 9:30am on Wednesday morning two fake dollars thieves Shedrack Okoye age 38 years and Chuks Ajuebor age 26 years a 400 level student of the Department of Business Administration at the Lagos State University who were caught at Ajao Estate, Oshodi, Isolo in Lagos ,recently by Okada rider at the area.
On that faithful morning according to Alhaji Abubakar Usman, the chairman of the Bureau De Change at Haji Camp, he said they brought $13,900,000 which is #2.2million naira later discover after they have left that the money was fake, he raise an alarm that that the suspects were thieves, so the suspects brought out a gun and started shooting into the air and entered their Honda Accord Saloon Car with the Reg. No. GZ 838 APP and speed off,while the Okada rider in the area went after them.
Which they ended up at Ajao Estate in Isolo,Okoye who said that he lives at 1.Mapo street,Sango –Tedo Ajah while Ajuebor lives at block MB65 House Road6 Abraham Adesanya Estate Ajah were ragged out of their car, when they notice there was no place to hide anymore while the Policemen attached to Ajao Estate Police Station while responding to a distress call arrested two armed robbers .
The hoodlums with others at large allegedly went to a Bureau-De-Change at Hajj Camp along Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road to exchange fake thirteen thousand Nine hundred US Dollars into naira from one Isah Rabiu at aforesaid bureau de change.
Alhaji Abubakar and his colleagues added that the robbers threw naira notes into the air to divert the pursuit getting to Ajao Estate; Okada riders took offensive and pursued them till they got to the police station in Ajao Estate that was how they were caught at Ajao Estate.
The PPRO also confirmed the report that police are alert to help reduce crime in Lagos, that the case is still under investigation and the case has been transfer to Area D where they would be transferred to the Special Anti-robbery Squad in the state.
DPO of Ajao Estate police station said he men were on standby when they saw suspects speed off toward there are with okada riders pursuing them, that was how they get the fake dollars thieves arrested ,that he cant speak on the issue now press men should meet the Police Public Relation Officer for information.

When National Daily visited the DPO of Ajao Estate police station, Mr. Zango Ibrahim revealed that they tried their best and to interrogating them in order to investigate the case properly.


He asked them where the money is and they were saying that they will pay the money. They called their madam to come and pay the money, so we are waiting for them to see how they will produce the money but for the gun, the police officers were looking for the gun, there is no gun, they never saw the gun, they never saw the money from a reliable source.

Information available to our reporter that what we think is that they started spraying the money while we were pursuing them, so for now we don't know where they kept the money because there are some grasses between our market and Ajao Estate, may be they threw the money inside there but the police officers are still investigating as to the where about of the money “they also have different plates numbers inside the car they were using.
